We were supposed to get a LOT of snow this week. Some reports were saying six inches, and some were saying twenty-four. As a precaution, the university The Man and I both work at closed at 1 p.m. on Monday, and called off school on Tuesday as well. When we got up early on Tuesday morning, we were sorely disappointed. BARELY any snow!
But Abby made the best of it anyway. She put on her fanciest RC Pet winter coat that Grandma WriterCat got her as an early birthday present and prepared for fun.
She said hi to Takara, her friend next door and the tussled a bit.
She ate snowballs, because duh.
And The Man created a fake snow fall for her.
Needless to say, after about thirty minutes she was a VERY tired puppy, but very happy. We can’t wait to have a real snow fall to see what she does because if this is any indication? She’ll go nuts.
Hope everyone was warm and safe and dry during the storms this week!
I can’t believe that it is a New Year and that my vacation went by so fast! Yesterday was my first day back to work and today…. SNOW DAY!!!

I knew that the storm was coming, so I did bring home paperwork to keep me occupied. But I just love being able to work at home, especially with four inches or more of snow as an excuse to stay inside. I made bread, cleaned the basement, did four loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, took all the Christmas ornaments off the tree and packed them away, and managed to get a good five hours of my paperwork done in-between. I have some more work to do on the computer but I left that for tomorrow.
And while I was working, the cats were VERY busy. Loki decided he had to “protect” my jeans (aka sit on the warm radiator).
And Luna spent some quality time contemplating her future (aka hogging the chair with the best sun).
And wanted to know why I was disturbing her.
I hope everyone who got hit by snow was safe and warm!
